About Jay Abeles, DPM
Expert podiatrist Jay Abeles, DPM, brings more than 25 years of experience in podiatric medicine to his self-titled practice in Bethpage, New York, serving men, women, and families throughout Nassau County.
Dr. Abeles was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated with honors in 1981 from Jericho High School in Jericho, New York, and began his professional pursuits at The State University of New York, Binghamton, New York State’s top-ranked public university. Dr. Abeles earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology. Following graduation, Dr. Abeles enrolled at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with honors.
During his career, Dr. Abeles has worked to add to his professional skills. He’s obtained podiatric laser certification at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Dr. Abeles is also certified in endoscopic plantar fasciotomy by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
At his private practice, Dr. Abeles sets aside plenty of time to spend with each new patient. He treats all of his patients like members of the family and works to pinpoint and treat their underlying problems quickly and effectively.
Dr. Abeles always works to diagnose and treat foot and ankle problems using holistic, conservative methods.
